First : The department grants two degree of Special and General Diploma with the participation of Literary Studies Department . : Second The section grants Master's degree of Rhetoric Science , Literary Criticism and Comparative Literature. :Third The department grants Ph.D. in Science Rhetoric , Literary Criticism and Comparative Literature .
One of the best department objectives, " in which system of Dar-Aulum faculty departments participates on the level of Arabic Language and Islamic Sciences according to the philosophy for which Dar-Aulum faculties were established in general" And it also aims in particular through its scientific mission to upgrade the student with a carefully plan of Arabic rhetoric and the modern Arab statement, where he teaches an introduction of rhetoric and literary criticism in the first year, that is the formative stage, through which he recognizes the most important rules of Arabic Rhetoric and Literary Criticism, in addition to defining it and its history . The student then promotes to another degree in the second year, in which he recognizes the eloquence of modern speech. At the third year, the student becomes aware of his literary criticism curriculum in its modernity. At last, the student concludes his studying in the fourth year by opening to the prospects of comparative literature in order to be graduated from the faculty with a wide knowledge qualified him to join postgraduate studies stage, which disappears by Methodology of the deepest and more specialized thought in sciences studied by the section and we mean by it to get Master's and Doctorate degree in sciences. This will be as mentioned above after having spent a year in Master or two years to get public and private diploma for those who couldn't get good degree at least in the bachelor stage.
